Benefits of LED lights
To date LEDs are the most efficient illumination technology available to the LED FLOOD LIGHTS commercial market. Compared to traditional illumination technologies, LED
lights offer a number of advantages and benefits, such as:
Energy efficiency. LED lights consume far less power than fluorescent tubes and incandescent bulbs; in particular, the LED method of producing
light loses far less energy to heat.
Long-term savings. Although initially more expensive than fluorescent and incandescent lights, the longer lifespan of LEDs reduces maintenance costs,
downtime and material wastage. The average lifespan of an LED is more than 25 000 hours. By contrast, the lifespans for an incandescent and CFL bulbs are
1 200 and 8 000 hours, respectively.
Environmental friendliness. Simply because they are more efficient, LEDs cut down on carbon emissions by consuming less electricity.
Absence of toxic chemicals. Most conventional fluorescent bulbs contain many harmful materials – such as mercury and cadmium – that are hazardous to both people and the environment. By contrast, LEDs contain no toxic materials and are 100 per cent recyclable.
